K.A.I REVIEW

Consistency & payout rules — compared

The consistency rule is what blocks payouts more than anything else, and almost nobody lays it out clearly. The key problem: consistency DIFFERS between the evaluation and the funded stage, and between account types within the same firm — so a single number per firm is wrong. This table separates every model. All figures are read straight from each firm’s own help center, with the check date and source links below.

How to read this: “At evaluation” is the challenge stage; “At payout” is once funded. “None” means that stage has no consistency rule — it does not mean the firm has no rules at all.

Topstep

Formula
Eval: Best Day Profit ÷ Total Profit ≤ 55%. XFA Consistency: Largest Single-Day Net Profit ÷ Total Net Profit ≤ 40%
What happens if you exceed it
You are NOT failed — but the Profit Target INCREASES. New target = Best Day ÷ 0.55. It cannot be fixed by trading more on the SAME day; you need another day.
Notes
The trader CHOOSES Standard or Consistency when activating the XFA. Losses do NOT reset the best day. Best day locks at 15:10 CT.
Minimum payout
$125
Payout cap
Up to 50% of balance. XFA 50K: $2,000 / $3,000 · 100K: $4,000 · 150K: $5,000 / $6,000. LFA: no cap
Profit split
90/10 (joined the new dashboard before 12/01/2026: first $10,000 at 100%)
News — verbatim
“Topstep doesn't require you to flatten positions during economic releases — in SIM or Funded Accounts.”
Trades affected by news are NOT eligible for exceptions or reset credits; Topstep does not compensate slippage.

FundedNext Futures

Formula
At CHALLENGE (Legacy/Flex): one day's profit ≤ 40% of the PROFIT TARGET — not of total profit. At FUNDED (Rapid Pro): Highest day ÷ Total profit ≤ 40%.
What happens if you exceed it
Challenge: NOT failed — the target is recalculated as Highest Daily Profit ÷ 0.40. Example: Legacy $50K (target $3,000), daily threshold $1,200; a $1,500 day means you now need $3,750 instead of $3,000. Funded: payout blocked until the ratio drops.
Notes
FundedNext runs TWO separate help centers: help.fundednext.com is CFD, helpfutures.fundednext.com is FUTURES. This page uses the FUTURES one.
Minimum payout
FNL:003: $800 (and at least $800 above the buffer)
Payout cap
FNL:003: $1,200 per payout
Profit split
FNL:003: 90% from the start
News — verbatim
“FundedNext Futures charges a one-time fee only ... and allows VPN/VPS, news trading, and EAs/bots.”
The “News Reward Share” rule cutting profit to 40% applies ONLY to the CFD line (Stellar 1-Step/2-Step/Lite). The FUTURES help center never mentions it — do not apply it here.
⚠️ Point the firm’s own docs leave UNCLEAR

WARNING on FNL:003: the 20% is PERPETUAL — the highest day EVER recorded follows the account for life across ALL payout cycles and never resets. Each cycle's total profit must therefore be at least 5× your best day. One big early day permanently raises the bar for every later cycle.

Bulenox

Formula
Best Day P&L Ă· Net P&L of the payout cycle Ă— 100
What happens if you exceed it
You are NOT failed and it is NOT a violation — keep trading to dilute the ratio.
Notes
Momentum qualifying day: net profit after fees of at least $100/$150/$200/$250 by size — the 5 days need NOT be consecutive. On the FIRST payout the Safety Threshold Reserve IS included in the consistency calculation.
Minimum payout
$1.000
Payout cap
First 3 payouts capped by size: $1,000/$1,500/$1,750/$2,000/$2,500. From the 4th: no cap.
Profit split
100% of the first $10,000 (counted once per trader across all Fast Track + Master accounts), then 90/10
News — verbatim
“News trading is allowed within all risk limits. Trade straight through the economic calendar. CPI, FOMC, NFP — no blackout windows, no forced position closing, no penalties. The only limits are your drawdown and your position size.”
Confirmed for both Momentum and Fast Track.
⚠️ Point the firm’s own docs leave UNCLEAR

Bulenox's own documentation CONTRADICTS itself on the Master 40% rule: one place says “Best Day P&L does not reset” after a payout, another says “The consistency calculation resets after each payout”. The two readings give completely different outcomes. K.A.I checked the FAQ, the CMS API and the help center — none resolve it. Ask Bulenox support before relying on this point.

What is still missing
  • Only 3 firms have full rule data so far. K.A.I is working through the rest batch by batch.
  • Firms change these rules often. The check date sits next to each firm name — if it looks old, re-read the firm’s help center before relying on it.
  • Where a firm’s own documentation contradicts itself, K.A.I marks it UNCLEAR rather than guessing — see the amber boxes above.
